For legal and security reasons, it must be declared that Ethan Evergreen (The Founder & CEO of GreenStone Laboratories) is the pen-name used by Joshua Cortes (The actual Founder & CEO).

It must also be stated that Ethan chooses to go by this name due to personal reasons, and will always prefer to go by this name -so we ask that out of respect- please refer to him as Ethan Evergreen.

Facts About Me!

Childhood and Recent Years

When I was a kid I used to love playing games like Minecraft, Terraria, The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Kirby, and listening to Vocaloid, Utada Hikaru and the OSTs for basically every franchise I was interested in. I loved them so much that I even began creating fan art of my own (which I thankfully never uploaded or submitted), which deepened my love for art and media in general even further. However, I was quite sheltered and lived a secluded life due to “Helicopter Parents” who didn’t let me discover more of the world or experience anything meaningful until I was able to leave at 17 (albeit some might say I was kicked out due to not being given a choice by my parents and their mistreatment). For a while, I lived with my Grandmother, who I at first clashed a lot with due to her stance on family issues, but she´s become a part of my inspiration and motivation to keep going on with this huge project after I moved out. Despite this however, things weren’t all peaches and cream living there either since I was about to graduate high school in the middle of the 2020 Pandemic, and about to be thrown into the world adulthood without a full support system, preparation, and university education. After I turned 18, I became close friends with Joseph (my first ever REAL supporter and sponsor) and decided it would be nice to have some space away from the family so that I can finally work on my genuine interests and projects without judgement from the family, which he helped me achieve by letting me bunk with him. It´s been a stream of constant growth for me ever since, despite the situations my country also faces which affect me as well, [again] the lack of university experience/education, and the fact that I was never prepared for adult life to begin with due to the way my parents [failed] to raise me, I can definitely say that I am more adult than them and resilient towards the issues in my homeland, and I´m proud to finally be able to share my creations and interests with everyone and show the world that anyone determined enough can create beautiful and meaningful things, so be sure to check the website often for updates and new content if you´re interested!

(To those concerned: Yes I have cut off my parents. They literally do nothing for me other than give me heart and headaches, they do not pay my bills, they do not clean my house or feed my cats. They mean nothing to me, and have no intentions of being genuine parents towards me, since they themselves were never ready to be parents. I am much happier this way and have achieved so much more with my life since I cut them and their toxicity off. And in case my ¨parents¨ have the nosiness to check my page to keep tabs on me all of a sudden: y´all suck, lol, get mad and cry about my endeavors.)

When did I decide to create VenusLink?

I kind of always knew I wanted to do something important to me, while making it something people could learn genuine life lessons from. My writings are an observation of what´s going on with the world right now, since as a Human Being (nationality and race aside), I fear for the future of our planet and civilization. I need people to take off their rose colored sunglasses so that they can stop to think for a second “What the heck is ACTUALLY going on?” while looking at social media and the state of the world as it is! After seeing firsthand after I grew up how The World truly is, I realized just how close to home the problems were. That´s when it happened: In September of 2022 I just started writing, and writing, and writing. YEARS of pent up frustration and confusion, taking the form of VenusLink, finally allowing me to fully process the loss of my still-living parents, my sudden and unprepared entry into full adulthood, and now finally the beginning of me sharing my experiences and work with you all! It´s been a crazy but wonderful 2, (now almost 3 as of the time of writing) years of putting things together for you all, soon to all be revealed when the time is right!
